APSA is Hiring: Communications Officer

BANGKOK, THAILAND, January 9, 2025; The Asia and Pacific Seed Association (APSA), the region’s premier seed trade association, is seeking a dynamic Communications Officer to join its Secretariat in Bangkok, Thailand. This full-time position offers a unique opportunity to shape the narrative of sustainable agriculture in the Asia-Pacific region by enhancing APSA’s digital presence and promoting its key programs and events.

APSA represents a vibrant network of over 400 seed companies and associations from 40 countries. Our mission is to advance sustainable agriculture through the production and trade of quality seed. By fostering advocacy, capacity building, and collaboration, APSA plays a pivotal role in supporting food security and innovation across the region.

About the Role
As the Communications Officer, you will drive APSA’s communications strategy, with a focus on:

  • Digital Content Creation: Develop engaging multimedia content and manage social media platforms (LinkedIn, X, Facebook, Instagram).
  • Campaign Management: Plan and execute social media campaigns, monitor trends, and report on analytics.
  • Event Marketing: Collaborate with the Events Manager to promote APSA’s flagship Asian Seed Congress and other key events.
  • Media Relations: Prepare press releases, coordinate media inquiries, and build partnerships with international press.
  • Website Optimization: Improve website content, structure, and SEO in collaboration with the ICT team.

Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have at least five years of relevant experience, exceptional writing skills in English, and expertise in social media, content management systems, and graphic design tools. A background in communications, marketing, or visual arts is highly desirable.
