Our shared responsibility: A call for collective sustainability action

The seed industry forms the foundation of the global food system. Today, as the world faces challenges such as climate change, soil degradation, and evolving farmer livelihoods, the industry has a unique opportunity to be part of the solution by embedding sustainability at its core.

This presentation highlights why now is the right time for APSA to lead on sustainability — not as a response to crisis, but as a proactive step toward resilience and shared prosperity. Drawing on recent data and inspiring examples, it will showcase how the seed industry can drive positive transformation: from enhancing soil health and biodiversity to empowering farmers and strengthening climate resilience.

It also proposes sharing sustainable agriculture practices among APSA members through collaboration — working together to create shared value and build a thriving, sustainable future for all.
