APSA-WorldVeg Tomato Insect Resistance Project

A special project entitled “Development of Tomato Lines for Resistance to Sucking & Feeding Pests” is launched under the APSA-WorldVeg Vegetable Breeding Consortium with the aims for the seed companies to incorporate insect resistance into tomato cultivars that enable farmers to reduce pesticide use and produce high quality tomatoes.

PROJECT DURATION:

  • 1 January 2023 - 31 December 2025

PROJECT REGISTRATION PERIOD

  • 25 January - 30 November 2022

PROJECT FEE (USD)

  • Minimum of 15 companies at 40,000 USD per company
  • Maximum of 25 companies at 24,000 USD per company

AGREEMENT SIGNING & PAYMENT

  • 1 - 31 December 2022

Please note that only the active members of the 2022 APSA-WorldVeg Vegetable Breeding Consortium are eligible to participate in this project, and all project partners undertake to share the project cost equally. The actual budget per participating company will be calculated based on the final number of registered companies.
