BANGKOK: The latest in vegetable nutraceuticals and marigold seed market opportunities will be revealed by experts during a meeting at the upcoming 2017 Asian Seed Congress.
Organized by the Vegetables & Ornamentals Special Interest Group (SIG) of the Asia and Pacific Seed Association (APSA), the exclusive session will be the second of seven technical sessions scheduled for the annual three-day event.
To convene at 3.15pm on November 14 in the Sala Thai Ballroom on the 5th Floor of the Bangkok Marriott Marquis Queen’s Park, the three-hour session will feature two expert speakers as follows:

Dr. Ray-Yu Yang[/caption]
First, Dr. Ray-Yu Yang, Nutritionist and Flagship Program Leader – Healthy Diets at World Vegetable Center (WVC), Chinese Taipei, will discuss the diversity and distribution of phytonutrients in vegetable germplasm.
With 15 years experience coordinating nutritional and phytochemical properties of vegetables, Dr Yang will also present on the biofortification programme of WVC and the contribution of vegetables to human health.
The final lecture will be given by Mr. Praveen N. Noojibail, the technocrat entrepreneur Managing Director of I and B Seeds, India.

Mr. Noojibail will update delegates with latest market status and opportunities of seed business for marigold, one of the major ornamental seeds traded in the Asian region.
Vegetable seed business continues to be the main focus of scores of APSA members and the session of the APSA Special Interest Group on Vegetables & Ornamentals at the Asian Seed Congress every year attracts maximum participation.
Every year, APSA invites leading seed industry experts to share their experience and guide other members in areas of importance related to these important groups of crops. Asian Seed Congress 2017 session is going to be no different.
Organized by APSA in different host countries in the region every year, the Asian Seed Congress is the most significant seed industry event of its kind, attracting more than 1,000 seed executives, regulators and researchers from across the globe.
