Ajai is a seasoned Agriculture industry professional with over 33 years of diverse experience in commercial, strategy, and leadership roles in Agriculture industry in Asia & Americas. He has been instrumental in the commercial introduction and scale of many new products and technologies in corn, cotton and rice crops.
Ajai began his career with American Cyanamid Co. in 1992 and later joined Monsanto India Ltd in 1995. He also worked at Monsanto global headquarters, Saint Louis, MO USA in key strategic roles. In 2010, Ajai joined RiceTec Inc. as Director Business Development at Houston Texas, later he returned to India in 2011, and founded RiceTec subsidiary Savannah.
Ajai is an active advocate for the introduction of technology-based solutions to address agriculture production and sustainability challenges. He has been actively engaged with American Seed Trade Association’s (ASTA) International Committee. He has extensively travelled across Asia Pacific region, Europe, North and South American continents acquiring knowledge and understanding about global agriculture issues, regulations, farming communities, seed, and biotech industry.
Ajai holds a master’s degree in agriculture and MBA in Marketing. Besides his active corporate life, Ajai is also a part time sugarcane, oilseeds & plantation farmer.
