Dr. Weibo Dong is a Senior Technical Advisor of Shenghong Seed Company, and a professor in Plant Pathology of Dalian Academy of Agricultural Science, working on crop resistance breeding.
Mr. Dong obtained his Doctoral Degree in Plant Pathology & Nematology from the University of Goergia in 2007. He joint Monsanto in 2012 and converted to Bayer Cropscience (China) Company Ltd. in 2018 as senior Plant Pathologist, mainly worked on establishing, managing and operating the vegetable pathology department, and leading the R & D and promotion projects related to vegetable diseases in China.
Dr. Dong joint Shenghong seed as a senior technical advisor in 2022 provides experts support on seed production and disease inspection and detection in vegetables. Mr Weibo is mainly responsible for establishment and improvement of the Seed Health laboratory, and leading innovation of techniques in disease detection. He is also the mentor of phytosanitary in vegetable seed production in Shenghong.

In the presentation, we briefly described the profile of Dalian Shenghong Seed Company, introduced our major businesses, including various vegetable crops and flowers seed production. Exhibited our seedling and field management, strict phytosanitary policy, standardized seed processing, and advanced disease inspection and detection techniques to show how we keep germplasm security, produce high quality seed, and ensure seed health without high risk seedborne pathogens. Emphasized innovations on seedborne disease detection to produce clean seed. We also shared our enterprise culture and cooperative chances to seek new development with more partners together.
