Ms. Geronima Eusebio currently holds the position of Supervising Agriculturist and serves as the Officer-in-Charge (OIC) Head of the Biotechnology Office at the Bureau of Plant Industry (BPI). This office is the central hub for handling genetically modified
(GM) applications and issuing biosafety permits. Additionally, she chairs the Biotechnology Core Team for Plant Breeding Innovations (BCT-PBI), a group responsible for conducting technical consultations to assess and determine the regulatory status
of plant breeding innovation products.
Ms. Eusebio is also a Deputized Plant Quarantine Officer and previously served as the Head of the National Plant Quarantine Services Division (NPQSD) Central Laboratory for Pest and Disease Diagnosis.
She earned a Master of Science in Agricultural Plant Biotechnology from the Hungarian University of Agriculture and Life Sciences in Budapest, Hungary, and a Bachelor of Science in Plant Pathology from the University of the Philippines Los
