Dr. Manish Patel, a distinguished agriculturist with nearly 30 years of expertise in seed science and technology, is a recognized leader in the food production industry. He holds a Ph.D. and M.Sc. in Plant Breeding & Genetics from Gujarat Agriculture University and has been instrumental in advancing the seed sector in the region. As Executive Director of Incotec India Pvt Ltd since 1998, Dr. Patel has led business operations while driving innovations in seed enhancement technologies which has enhanced the value of genetics in agriculture. He has also served on the Governing Council of the National Seed Association of India for over 14 years. Currently, he is President of APSA (2022-2024), actively shaping the future of the seed industry in the Asia-Pacific region. He has previously served in various capacities as an APSA EC member, Office Bearer, Vice President, and Co-chair for the Standing Committee on Seed Technology. Dr. Patel is also one of the founding directors of Gujarat Seed Valley - a joint initiative between Dutch Govt and Gujarat Govt to boost up quality seed production in the region of Gujarat.
