Dr. Xun Li is Founder and CEO of Beijing Daqiuyin Digital Science & Technology, LLC. Graduated from China Agricultural University with an MS and from Iowa State University with a PhD in plant pathology. Worked at Iowa State University till 2017 as an Associate Scientist. Research areas included plant disease epidemiology, risk assessment, climate change, and digital agriculture. In 2013, Joined Hunan Agricultural University in China as a visiting professor. Currently also serve as a Chief Scientist of digital agriculture for digital technology extension and commercialization at China Agricultural Machinery Distribution Association.

Digital agriculture (DA) has profoundly transformed farming systems. This ongoing digitalization revolutionizes not only daily farming tasks, but also the entire agricultural value chain. Data are increasingly becoming critical assets for agriculture and related industries. With the latest advances in artificial intelligence, digital agriculture has entered a new era, where the values and potential of data are amplified far beyond our previous imagination through AI solutions. This talk will briefly provide an overview of the current state of digital agriculture in China, focusing on how various industries are collaborating to drive a deeper transformation of China’s agriculture to a digital revolution. Additionally, the use of AI solutions in agriculture will also be discussed.
