Objectives: 

  1. To understand the scope of Intellectual Property under RCEP (Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership) Agreement and the plant variety protection under the UPOV Convention to promote the innovation and investment in agriculture among RCEP member countries. 
  2. To exchange the current practices of IP protection and IP enforcement among RCEP member countries focusing on PVP, the agriculture sector and seed industry.
  3. To discuss on how to cooperate among RCEP countries on IP protection and enforcement, with particular focus on PVP,  under RCEP Agreement on the agriculture sector and seed industry.
