At the General Assembly Meeting on November 12, 2015, the APSA General Assembly voted to ratify the IPR Position Paper
In 2012, the APSA Executive Committee (EC) set up the Intellectual Property Rights Working Group (IPRWG) and set them the task of developing a Position Paper on Intellectual Property Protection of Plants in the Asia-Pacific region.
The EC has approved the draft paper and presented it to APSA’s members for their views, before finalizing it for adoption during the General Assembly Meeting during Asian Seed Congress 2015 (Goa, India) on 19 November 2015.
