Dr. Boonyanath Nathwong is currently the President of Thai Seed Trade Association (THASTA) and Director of Regulatory Science, Bayer Crop Science, Thailand. Earning her post-graduate degree in Plant Biotechnology from John Innes Centre, University of East Anglia, Norwich (UK), Dr. Boonyanath was a researcher at the National Center for Genetic Engineering & Biotechnology (BIOTEC), Thailand, prior to her joining the seed industry. She is a member of Thailand Seed Hub Executive Committee of the Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives of Thailand. She has also been active in various public and private collaborations on policy and regulation development to promote seed industry such as Seed Health Lab Accreditation, E-Phyto, Plant Breeding Innovation, Corn After Rice programme, Plant Variety Protection, Mandatory Approval Regulation of Food Derived from Modern Biotechnology, and Carbon Emission Neutrality of Seed and Grains Production.
