François BURGAUD is Advisor to the President of SEMAE-formerly GNIS, (french Interprofessional organization for Seeds), in which he has working for 50 years.
François BURGAUD is representing SEMAE/GNIS in APSA for 28 years. He is member of Executive Committee of APSA since 2021, and Co-chair of the standing committee on intellectual property and varieties, in which he has been member since 2005.He is also member of the Board of Directors of AFSTA (African Seed Trade Association). Besides, he is Chairman of the Agriculture and Agri-Food Cluster of Medef International.
Graduate of Sciences-Po Paris, as well as in Economics and History, François BURGAUD is a European expert in the framework of the ITPGRFA (International Treaty on Plant Genetic Resources for Agriculture and Food).
