Arthur Santosh Attavar is currently Chairman & Managing Director of Indo-American Hybrid Seeds (India) Pvt. Ltd., Bangalore. Joined Indo-American Hybrid Seeds in 1997. The Company was founded by Late Dr. Manmohan Attavar in the year 1965. After a degree in Plant Sciences (Horticulture), Utah State University, USA, worked at Utah State University, Extension and Garden Centre, commercial exposure with flower seeds and vegetable seed production and interned at Ball Seed Company Program. He has travelled extensively to develop insights into research and seed production. Currently Arthur Santosh Attavar is the President of International Seed Federation (ISF) Nyon, Switzerland. He is the Chair, ISF Task Force for the United Food System Summit and Member of APSA Working Group of Integrated Vegetable Seed Companies. He is a member of African Seed Trade Association (AFSTA) and other national seed associations. He is member of Varietal Release Committee at Protection of Plant Varieties & Farmers’ Rights Authority (PPV&FRA), India. Currently he is nominated as a member of Research Council at University of Agricultural Sciences, Bangalore. He is associated with various community services including a charitable hospital run by his family trust.
