Anthony Tse was born and raised in Hong Kong. He attended University of California, Davis where he received BS (Hon)1971 in Plant Science, MS1972, and PhD 1975 in Plant Physiology. He has been active in the public affairs of the seed trade locally and abroad. In 1996, he was elected to the Executive Committee of APSA and became President in 1998/1999. He has also been active in the APSA R&D committee and worked closely with the Asia Vegetable Research and Development Centre (now World Vegetable Center). In 2017/2018, Anthony was asked to head the APSA Working Group of Integrated Vegetable Seed Companies (WIC) which is a group of leading integrated vegetable seed companies in the region to formulate business-friendly policies. He helped established the Hong Kong Seed Trade Association in 2000 and remains chairman.
