National Modern Agriculture (Seed Industry) Industrial Park
Founded by the Yazhou District Government, the leading industry of the park is the modern seed industry. In June 2019, it was approved by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs and the Ministry of Finance of the People's Republic of China, and in January 2022, it was successfully recognised as a national modern agricultural industrial park. The industrial park is positioned as a demonstration area for the coordinated development of the whole industrial chain of the national modern seed industry with a high concentration of elements, advanced facilities and equipment, green production methods, significant economic and social benefits, and strong collaborative drive. As the exhibition base of the China Seed (Nanfan Agricultural Silicon Valley) Congress, thousands of varieties such as tomatoes, peppers, and melons are exhibited.
Yazhou Bay Science and Technology City Industry Promotion Center
Yazhou Bay Science and Technology City Industry Promotion Center is one of the landmark buildings of Yazhou Bay Science and Technology City, an important pathway for Yazhou Bay Science and Technology City to attract investment and introduce new industries, and it is also an important platform for promoting the spirit of scientists to the society, publicising and displaying deep-sea science, as well as Nanfan technology. The exhibition hall is mainly divided into the Preface hall, the Nanfan exhibition hall, the Deep-sea exhibition hall, and the Intellectual Property exhibition hall, which provide visitors with an in-depth understanding of the overall planning and layout of the science and technology city, the settlement of enterprises and institutions, the settlement of Nanfan technology, deep-sea science and the transformation of achievements.
The Intellectual Property Comprehensive Service Center
The Intellectual Property Comprehensive Service Center (hereinafter referred to as "Service Center") of Yazhou Bay Science and Technology City (YZBSTC) was officially put into operation in 2021. The Service Center provides "five-in-one" comprehensive IP service covering patents, trademarks, copyrights, geographical indications and plant varieties, Hence the IP business can be accepted at a "one-stop" comprehensive service system is established.
Sanya Yazhou Bay Science and Technology City Innovative Research and Education Valley
In order to promote the agglomeration and high-quality development of higher education resources in the Science and Technology City, realise the sharing of teaching and scientific research resources, jointly carry out teaching and scientific research activities, and jointly promote the transformation of scientific and technological achievements, and explore the establishment of management and operation mechanisms such as shared courses and shared scientific research platforms. National Nanfan Breeding Research Centre(CAAS), National Research Facility on Phenotype of Southern Breeding Crops
The National Research Facility on Phenotype of Southern Breeding Crops of the National Nanfan Breeding Research Centre (CAAS) is an important measure for Sanya to promote the construction of "Southern Breeding Silicon Valley" and a specific action to build a national tropical agricultural science center, with a total construction area of 46,480 m2 and a total investment of 536 million yuan, which was planned to be completed in 2023. After the completion of the project platform, it will greatly promote the comprehensive development of crop phenotype and genotype research in basic research, variety breeding, rapid generation, etc., and greatly enhance China's independent innovation ability in excellent germplasm creation, important gene mining and major variety cultivation.
Hainan University Batou Base
The Batou base has built a display platform of about 40 mu of specialized field varieties, and the previous two sessions of China (Hainan) International Conference of Watermelon and Melon Industry Development were held here. Four thematic demonstration areas are set up for different groups including new varieties, registered varieties in advantageous production areas, foreign varieties, and germplasm resources. 885 watermelon and melon varieties and 1,399 germplasm resources have participated in the demonstration at the base.
Sanya Academy of Tropical Agricultural Sciences Yazhou Base
Sanya Academy of Tropical Agricultural Sciences Yazhou Base has more than 20,000 square meters of factory nursery and excellent high-efficiency seedling technology, which is not affected by various adverse factors such as weather, with high survival rate and low cost. There are peppers, eggplants, cucumbers, passion fruit and other seedlings breeding, originating from Wuzhishan and other cities and counties, and through the way of "southern seedlings and northern breeding", the seedlings are sent to Guangxi, Hunan and Xinjiang to help farmers increase income.
