The Executive Committee will manage the association. The Executive Committee will consist of a minimum of 9 members and a maximum of 16 members. Each Executive Committee member will be a Representative of a Member, and the composition of an Executive Committee of 16 persons must comply with the following:
10 persons who are Representatives of either Corporate Members (Seed Enterprises) or Corporate Members (Government Seed Agencies);
two persons who are Representatives of Corporate Members (Seed Associations) based in the Region;
two persons who are Representatives of Associate Members;
one person who must be resident in Thailand; and
one person who must be resident in Singapore,
and such composition of the Executive Committee will be further subject to the following conditions:
there being a minimum of one representative from the Major Countries/territories;
there being a maximum of two representatives from a single country/territory;
there being a maximum of one representative from a single organisation, which will be taken to include the subsidiaries of the organisation in question; and
there being one person who must be resident in Thailand, and one person who must be resident in Singapore, at all times.
The Executive Director will serve as an ex officio member of the Executive Committee. For the avoidance of doubt, the Executive Director will not count towards the maximum of 16 Executive Committee members.
